I am so excited to announce that I'll be playing the role of "Steph" in the upcoming production of Neil LaBute's "Reasons To Be Pretty"! The play is being directed by Cherry Norris who previously directed me in TAPE and will also be starring Josh Eisenberg, Thomas Patrick, and Gina Comparetto! Be sure to follow our Instagram for daily updates: https://www.instagram.com/reasonstobeprettyla/ DATES: September 12, 13, 14, 19, 20, & 21 at 8:00pm LOCATION: New Collective Theatre 6440 Santa Monica Blvd. Los Angeles, CA 90038 Tickets can be purchased here: https://reasonstobeprettyla.bpt.me Synopsis:
Reasons To Be Pretty is a romantic drama about lust, lies and love, REASONS TO BE PRETTY introduces us to Greg (Josh Eisenberg), an intelligent, socially awkward, but genuinely nice guy who truly adores his girlfriend, Steph (Angeline Anderson), an endearing neurotic. Unfortunately, when she discovers how he feels about her looks, chaos ensues. All the while, Greg's best friends and co-workers, Kent (Thomas Patrick), an insatiable womanizer and his wife, Carly (Gina Comparetto), a natural beauty, traverse the murky waters of marriage and betrayal. A hopelessly romantic story about the hopefulness of romance, REASONS TO BE PRETTY is a glorious play! Last night I had the best time at the Netflix FYSEE event for "House of Cards" at Raleigh Studios. That show and cast are brilliant! I wrapped up filming a comedy short, UBirth, directed by Ora Kohan, a few weeks ago, and already had the opportunity to see a screening of it! It was so funny and such a great group of talented people to work with.
UBirth was about two college students who have had a long night of drinking and are just trying to get home when their Uber driver, Oliver, receives a call from his pregnant wife, Josephine, that she's going into labor. With no time to waste Oliver has to rush home with the heavily intoxicated and bickering couple in tow. Chaos ensues and the unlikely trio are forced to work together to deliver the baby themselves. Needless to say, the shoot was full of energy, lots of shouting, yelling, and comedy! Here's a few stills from the shoot: Check out the episode I was in for the new comedy web-series, "Shirley and Shelly"! Directed by Giles Andrews and Created by Erin Michele Soto and Helena Grace. The show is about "two girls figuring out life... and making lot of mistakes in the process." Be sure to subscribe to their youtube channel to follow the series!
